Forum: classic_tv Subject: Is it just me, or in those Jackie Gleason episodes of "Cavalade of Stars"....is one of the characters a gay stereotype?

You know, the guy who appears as "Mr America" in one sketch, as a triangle-player in another sketch, as a transvestite in yet another sketch (many transvestites aren't gay, but in the 1950s most people didn't know that....see film "Glen or Glenda" for further infomation), as a woman(?) in yet another sketch....

Not that there's anything wrong with that.
